Glamorous Camping is an interest that is growing in popularity every day. Variously called Glamorous Camping, Luxury Camping and Glam Camping, the term Glamping has come to represent all of them. Glamping aims to attract uncertain people and families to the outdoor life by offering them an experience without the hardship.

Glam Camping operates at the more lavish end of the market and focuses on providing (or helping put together) an outdoor experience where sleep, food and comfort are as good as, if not better than, home.

It appears to be that as the craze kicks into top gear the bid to be more outrageous than your neighbor is fast taking hold. Any Glamping expedition should at a minimum include a full size bed, luxury tent with electricity and lighting, Refrigerator with luxury food and drink and portable toilet.
I have seen some astounding set ups with full four poster beds and the highest quality bedding located in a beautifully lit tent with heating and fine cuisine.

There are those who argue that with such trappings the experience can barely be related to camping but I don't feel that's correct. Much of the outdoor experience involves living in the wild and communing with nature. This is still very possible with Glamping and even with a high quality base you can make your experience away from home base as easy or tough as you wish.

At the same time Glamping is attracting campers who would maybe never have committed to such an adventure and that can only be good for the outdoor camping community. If you haven't tried camping or feel the legendary hardship is not for you then give Glamping a try. You will not have to search for long to find a site that offers the luxury trappings that go with Glamping. Give it a go and you won't be disappointed I promise you.
